This morning the NYPD raided Occupy Wall Street and destroyed everything left behind by protesters.

The police burned 5,000 books and a tent that was donated by an author.

Occupy Wall Street has retaken the park and 1,500+ people have attended the largest General Assembly yet.

The protesters are working on rebuilding the library. This is what they have so far.

They burned books?! WTF.

They burned books?!? Oh hell no.

Once you start burning books, there is no hope. All reason disappears. Really America is running some pretty parallels to the Third Reich. I know that is an extreme comparison to make but if they carry on like this , who knows how it will end. Not like America hasn’t already done some pretty unspeakable things already.

What’s funny is the people who are reblogging this post raging about burning books are the same people who will reblog a picture of Twilight up in flames going “hahahahaha fuck Twilight.”
